Known for their cheap wings, wide selection of beers on tap and hit or miss fake ID situation, 51st State Tavern is a small sports bar that is good for a casual night. With pool tables upstairs and TVs scattered around this a great place to throw back a few beers, catch the game and enjoy 10-cent wings on Tuesday.
Bartenders are all male and badass in appearance. Majority of them are attentive and friendly. Make sure you’re never without a beer if you’re at a table though. They are pretty pushy if they think you’re taking up space without partaking in the goods, whether they be libations or edible fare. Attire is super casual although there are always the ignorant underage girls wearing heels and sparkly tops that trickle into 51st with a good fake.
Not exactly the spot for a crazy night, 51st is perfect for a late afternoon bar snack and beer or, of course, the coolest place in town if you’re a freshman.
